Chautauqua, Wabaunsee Counties
Seth,
Two more are ready to go...Chautauqua and Wabaunsee counties. (Since Wabaunsee was primarily a transfer of standard text, I did an edit on this site instead of sending to Amy. It's good to go.)
Thanks,
Pat

NOTE Regarding Jan. 1
Seth,
Just a note to make sure of something. Please do NOT publish Geary County before Jan. 1. There are related issues I'm dealing with and I just want to make sure we don't mess that up -- they have specifically requested that we not take them live until Jan. 1 or afterwards.
Thank you,
Pat

Email, Contact Form, Sunflower District
Seth,
Terri in the Sunflower District sent me this note:
Is there an email contact form to use for all emails for site viewsers
to easily contact staff in offices that is not a mail to form? Since
"mail to" is the easiest way to encourage spam mail, I would really
like to not use a "mail to". I would prefer to use ASP's "CDOSYS" or
something similar.
Could you get in touch with Terri about this? Her contact is
terrir@ksu.edu

Pat

Several more counties have been edited and cleared to launch. In addition to Coffeey and Dickinson -- which I think I have posted earlier -- the following are ready to go live:

From today's training...
Seth, not all of these are your responsibility, but I'll go ahead and list them all here.
1-Ellis County needs the newsletter module added. They were also having troubles with the maps module. I think they put the maps module ontop of the site map, which is causing an error that I can't fix.
2-Johnson Co and Miami Co wants the newsletter module. They don't have a particular page yet but can we find out where we think it should go?
Question: if an email bounces back because it is wrong on the newsletter module, to whom does that email go?
Question: Can they have more than one map per site? One county was considering using the map module to show where off-site events are located.
I think that's it for you. I just have a few requests for Gamage, also.
Thanks,
Linda

User help
Hello Seth!
So, here's the deal. Amy Goode from Chautauqua County has all the rights to her site: admin, publisher, and intranet. However she says that when she's logged in, all that shows up is the help option, she can't edit any modules. I'm assuming she's got the edit box in the lower left corner checked since it still says help but I didn't ask. She said she logs into the other agent's account in order to change anything. Any solutions?
Thank ya muchly,
Chelsea

Seward County CMS
Seth,
Seward County is ready to go live...go for it!
They are having a problem with a link off their 4-H page. It's the link that says "Register for 4-H Events" -- for some reason, it won't go to the page (it appears to have the right link behind it).
Thanks,
Pat

Neosho County can not access their .isis site currently. I tried to get into it and up came the K-State Research and Extension home page...strange! Please reset the server (I'm guessing) so that Neosho can get to their site. Thanks!

Time-stamped modules
Seth,
Other than the events module, is there a module in CMS that allows admins to put a time stamp on links. Woodson County wants to put a time stamp on news releases so that they appear and disappear at given times. They're currently using the links module to post news releases, but want to be able to time stamp those.
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Pat

Meade County photos
Seth,
Any idea why the "Copyright @ KSRE" is showing up on the Meade Co. Web site?
http://isis.oznet.ksu.edu/meade/DesktopDefault.aspx
I talked with Elly Blasi in that office and she said she took a picture of the road, loaded the picture, and when she published the page, the "Copyright" showed up on the picture.
Once we resolve this, all we need to do to finish their site is help her with Web banners (I'm working on that). Thanks,
Pat

Hey Seth,
Exact same problem again. Only this time with Hamilton County. The map needs to be on the Contact Us page again, beneath the feedback module.
Thanks a bunch!

Southeast Ag Research Center
Seth,
Southeast Ag Research Center is ready to go live. Go ahead and put them live. There is one issue to be resolved, however; Joe Moyer has fixed their personnel (staff) pages, but for some reason they don't show up. When he's in edit mode, he sees the information on his end, but no one else can see it. I've checked "Edit Page Layout" to see who's allowed to view the pages and it says "All Users", so I'm not sure what the problem is. Can you help with this, too?
In the meantime, I think they're far enough along to go ahead and go live. We can work out that problem after that. Thanks!

Central Kansas District CMS
Seth,
The Central Kansas District site is VERY SLOW in coming up. I tried to access the page and after about five minutes, I hit "Stop". They are saying that it takes 10 minutes or so -- I am guessing they have some REALLY HUGE files, maybe pictures, on their home page?? Can you check to see what the problem is with their site?
Thank you,
Pat
